The purpose of this tutorial is to show you how to write Hello to the screen using basic Javascript.

  1. <SCRIPT> - indicates the start of the scripting language
  2. document.writeln - is used to write a line of content on a page as it loads
  3. <a> - is the start of an anchor that is used as a link
    • HREF= - designates the URL of the linked resource
  4. </SCRIPT> - indicates the end of the scripting language
  5. </a> - indicates the start of the anchor
  6. <HR> - indicates a horizontal rule
  7. document.write - is used to write content on a page as it loads
  8. <h2> - indicates the start of a header of type 2
  9. <br> - indicates a line break
  10. </h2> - indicates the end of a header of type 2
